Teach 3D modeling, 3D printing and competitive robotics to students in grades 6–12.
Who we're looking for
A mechanical engineering background — A degree in ME, robotics or mechatronics.
U.S. degree preferred; a strong portfolio can stand in for the exact major.
Fluent in parametric CAD — Fusion 360, Onshape or SolidWorks, and you can teach it starting from a blank sketch.
Real 3D printing experience — Slicing, supports, orientation, tolerances, and why a print fails.
Not “I have used a printer” — you have fixed one.
Hands-on competitive robotics — VEX preferred: drivetrains, lifts, gear ratios, and what a match schedule does to a build.
Safe with tools and teenagers in the same room — Printers, hand tools, and shop rules that actually get followed.
You don't have to have taught before.
You do need to have actually built things — parts that fit on the first try, a robot that finished its matches. Photos of what you have made count for more than a teaching certificate.
